Riviera Court was originally the Riviera Petrol Station. More recently used as a car wash, this site in the heart of the village of Lostock Hall will replace an eyesore with a modern attractive building which will complement existing period buildings. Located in an area of shops, food outlets and other facilities, with excellent rail and road links this will provide 10 flats in a popular area.
Construction will be stick build timber frame with all the advantages of exceptional heat and sound insulation as well as the other advantages of timber frame including reducing the carbon footprint during build – we expect to save 9 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide – locking up carbon – and reducing heating requirements to a minimum.
As of March 2008 the remediation of the site, ground works and foundations up to slab level are complete. All services are ready to run in the building. The ground floor is built and work is progressing to complete the shell and get the building waterproof so that internal work can progress. The flats should be ready for sale at the end of May 2008.
