In 2003, Willowwood Property built a terrace of four, two and a half storey stone town houses on Church Road, within the Bamber Bridge conservation area.

The Company owned the two nearest properties and by merging from old to new, with careful attention to the local environment, detail and quality we have produced an attractive development, which South Ribble Borough Council nominated for a Civic Trust award.

In November 2003 at a ceremony in Preston City Hall we received a Preston and South Ribble Civic Trust CERTIFICATE OF MERIT

“RECOGNISING CONTRIBUTIONS OF SPECIAL VALUE TO THE CONSERVATION OR IMPROVEMENT OF THE LOCAL ENVIRONMENT”

This award is a remarkable achievement for Willowwood for two reasons, it is the first development by this new company and it is the only development of residential properties in Preston and South Ribble to be so awarded at this time. Other merit awards were given for upgrades to the Minster, student accommodation, converting barns into a restaurant etc.

As a company, we are proud to have achieved this award which comes as a result of cooperation and teamwork between stakeholders in the project including the South Ribble Borough Council's planning department, the architects, the builder and ourselves.

Our success has resulted in our being asked to act as consultants on third party projects.
